The Savior of Humanity
If you ask a Christian about a savior for humanity and you will get the same answer, Jesus. However, contrary to what many Christians believe, they are not the only ones with the story of a virgin birth or a miraculous birth. In fact, the concept of a savior for humanity has been around since the beginning of written time. Many ancient religions have a story of a God, son of god, or human infused with god-like powers, a story that is designed to give us hope that there is someone out there that truly cares for us. Christians teach that only their story of a savior is the true one. However, there is barely any evidence at all outside of the bible that even hints that he ever existed.

Yeshua (Jesus) made it a point to wash his disciples' feet and taught them a lesson on humility. He was their leader and at the time only slaves washed people's feet. He put himself in the lowest position possible for the sole reason of teaching these men that everyone deserves to be treated as an equal. Just because he was chosen to be their leader didn't mean he felt he was better than the person that had to wash their feet. This is a lesson I believe many people miss out on today!

What about John 1:1?

Part 1

Part 2

Personally, I believe that who’s right and who’s making it up is irrelevant to our current situation. I believe they can all be used to help teach us more about ourselves and how we should treat those that we see as lesser than us.
The idea that a man could be great on his own was not a popular idea in ancient times. Any time a man was great he was thought of as being an offspring of a deity. There are many different beliefs about who Yeshua/Jesus was. He never once made himself out to be anything other than human. Throughout his teachings he always referred to his father in heaven and how without him he was no different than you and me. If Yeshua/Jesus did not see himself as anything special and gave all the credit of his many miracles to his father and the Holy Spirit, then we must ask ourselves why is he seen as such a divine being? The problem I have with the way Christians tell the story of Yeshua/Jesus is they make it sound like he did all these great things himself or that in some magical way he was God himself in human flesh. He said, “I am nothing more than a man blessed by God.” He was nothing more than a vessel for God to work through. He was chosen by God to show the people of the world what their lives could be like if they fully gave their lives to him and let him guide their every decision. He had a choice and chose to do everything our father asked of him. He showed his humanity in the garden before his death when he asked our father why he asked him to go through so much pain and agony the following day. He knew it had to be done and was fully committed to seeing it through, but as a human he had to be reassured that it was indeed what our father wanted him to do. His teachings and his life are an example of the power of love. Love does not discriminate and treats everyone equal. When we all work together with love at our center there is truly nothing we cannot accomplish.
